Local Unions for Skilled Laborers


 

Iron Workers Local 399 - This union offers several specialties for iron workers to focus on. They also offer training and apprenticeships that students who will have a high school diploma or GED are at least 18 with a valid driver's license can apply to take part in. United Association of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 322 - Students who will have a high school diploma or GED and are at least 17 year of age (will be 18 upon entering program) with a valid driver's license can apply for this union's training program. New Jersey Building Laborers Union - This union is geared toward laborers involved in building, residential, and highway construction, energy conservation/green technologies, environmental remediation, and public service. Apprenticeships and training are available. Please check out the website for more information.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 351 - Students in this training program will attend classes two nights per week while working for electrical contractors during the day. United Brotherhood of Carpenters - This training program covers careers from general carpenters to floor coverers to residential framers and many more. Apprenticeships are available through this union. Please check out the website for more information.
